As partners in sharing the love for the past three years, Marmite and the Elton John AIDS Foundation are thrilled to launch the third limited-edition jar, adding to a colourful collection which has been creatively inspired by the incredible musical repertoire of Sir Elton John.
The striking new jar design is inspired by the much-loved 1983 hit ‘I’m Still Standing’, written & performed by Sir Elton John. The music video, shot in France’s Côte d'Azur, was directed by Russell Mulcahy & choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing legend Arlene Phillips. Dancers along a beach promenade capture the song’s positive spirit, with the message of resilience and self-acceptance highlighted throughout the lyrics.
During the video, Sir Elton’s solid band on his straw skimmer changes from black to a rainbow, a memorable moment which is now incorporated into the new Marmite jar design.
As part of the long-standing collaboration, the iconic ‘Love It or Hate It’ brand has committed a $1m donation to the Elton John Aids Foundation, in support the wider mission to end new cases of AIDs globally.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation, founded in 1992, is one of the leading independent AIDS organisations in the world, focusing on supporting those who are the most vulnerable to HIV and AIDS. Since its beginning, the Foundation has reached over 100 million people with HIV/ AIDS education, prevention, treatment, and support, having raised more than $600 million to fund over 3,100 projects across 95 countries.
