Pork or beef chipolata sausages – 4
Onion – 1 medium, sliced
Olive oil – 1 dessertspoon
Sugar – Pinch
Bread rolls or baps – 2 large, split in half
Flora Buttery for spreading – 20g
Marmite – 1-2 teaspoons
Step One Cook the sausages under a pre-heated grill, turning them from time to time.
Step Two While the sausages are cooking, heat a couple of drops of oil in a frying pan and add the onion.
Step Three Cook on a high heat until golden brown. Once done, reduce the temperature and allow them to cook for a few minutes.
Step Four Stir in the sugar and Marmite and increase heat slightly to make the sauce sticky.
Step Five Lightly toast the bread rolls and spread with butter.
Step Six Halve each sausage lengthways and place on the bottom of the rolls.
Step Seven Spoon some of the Marmite onions on top before replacing the top of the roll..
Step Eight Serve with grilled mushrooms and tomatoes.
