Marmite Roasties

Ingredients

Potatoes – 900g/2lb
Marmite – 1 dessert spoon
Vegetable oil – to cover the base of your roasting tin

 

Preparation

Step One  Preheat oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas Mark 6

Step Two  Peel and quarter potatoes and par boil in water for 7 minutes

Step Three  Drain and return the potatoes to the pan

Step Four  Roughen the potatoes by shaking them in the pan (remember to place a lid on the top)

Step Five  Heat the oil (enough to cover the base) in the roasting tin

Step Six  Carefully add the Marmite, mix well and then tumble the roughened potatoes to the mixture

Step Seven  Roast in the oven for approximately 45 minutes or until golden and crispy

Step Eight  Served with small sausages, a garnish of your choice and all the trimmings!
