Lean beef mince – 200g
Marmite – 4g (1 tsp)
Tomato pasta sauce – 250g (½ jar)
Mushrooms – 150g (chopped)
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon
Spaghetti – 150g
Grated parmesan – to serve (20g)
Step One Heat the oil in a large saucepan and add the onion.
Step Two Cook for a few minutes until they start to brown. Add the mince and mushrooms (and any other vegetables of your choice – pepper, garlic, carrot etc…) to the pan and mix together. Cook for 4-5 minutes (or until the meat is browned).
Step Three Pour in the pasta sauce and stir together adding the Marmite.
Step Four Cover the pan and let it simmer for a further 15-20 mins.
Step Five Meanwhile, boil a pan of water and cook the spaghetti (as per the instructions on the packet!). Once cooked drain the water and serve immediately.
